The 1 Thing To Stay On Track

You’ve made the decision; this time will be different.  This time, you will reach your goal and keep it.  Your determination is stronger than ever before.  You will stay on track.


Deciding to stay consistent with the lifestyle changes that help us reach our goals is a very important step.  Then, what?  How do we stick to it?  How do we stay on track?


The answer is in your response to the question: “Why?”


I know, one word; one simple, yet deeply profound word is the key to consistency.  The magic is in the vulnerability of YOUR answer.  Go deep, my friends.  I encourage you to shed a tear or two.  Once you connect with your WHY on an emotional level, getting the work done will be a bit easier.


WHY do you want to get in shape?

WHY do you want to lose weight?

WHY do you want to have more energy?

WHY do you want to run a 5k or a marathon?


I challenge you to go deep to find the “real” answer.


Maybe you want to be a positive example for your family.

Maybe you want to cure a disease.

Maybe you want to strengthen your relationships.

Maybe you want to simply be happy.


There are many people running through life at such a fast pace, aimlessly rushing to get somewhere.  The problem is that they don’t know where they are going and they sure don’t know WHY they are rushing.  They haven’t decided.  The result is a feeling of constant overwhelm; they feel lost.


Do you feel this way?  Sometimes?  Most times?

It’s ok if you do, you’re not alone.


Let me take some pressure off (for you and me).  All we need to do is answer the question wholeheartedly from where we are right now, with the information we have today.  Don’t worry about the “what if’s.”  What are you feeling today, right now?  What moves your soul?  What makes you want to get up and go?  What do you want?  WHY?


As our lives evolve and change, as they are meant to do, our answers may change.  Our dreams may start to look different.  That’s ok!  That is growth!  The more we expose ourselves to possibilities, the more we believe in ourselves, the more we will become.  Clarity of what we want and WHY we want it will pave the way for us to stay on track.


Be honest.  Be grateful.  Be YOU, and success will follow.
